I really like how I can adjust specific features and settings on my face, foreground, or background without applying the effect to the entire photo. Other apps require me to first adjust shadows and highlights and then overlay them onto the original picture, but Lensa AI makes it quick and convenient. However, one issue I have is that it doesn't let me adjust from what it automatically detects as the face, foreground, or background, so I can't perfect where the new background or effects will go. I can get around this by using another app like Photoshop, but that gets rid of the convenience of this app. Also, the filters are very generic and not unique. Overall, I like the face, foreground, and background options, but the options in general are limited and don't always work. I changed my rating from a 2 to a 3 because I realized that it's primarily for selfies, and it worked better when I used it on a selfie. However, it still didn't detect the face perfectly, so I wish there was an option to adjust what it automatically detects.

I used to use an old app called Wondercam, which was a freebie, and it was better than most of the paid apps available for taking selfies. Unfortunately, it stopped working on newer iPhones. So, I downloaded a bunch of cheesy selfie touchup apps, but I finally found Lensa, and it's amazing! It has superior quality effects, and it's the best selfie app I've tried so far. It's easy to adjust and turn down some of the effects, and it's not overly complicated to use. I don't like it when all the effects are so souped up that they look obvious and fake, but Lensa's magic mode and effects are excellent. I can adjust them perfectly, and even with the effects souped up, it looks professional without any cheesy blurring or smears. I also love that I can go into the settings and make it open in camera mode, so now I can use Lensa as my camera too! It would be cool if in future versions, there was an option to apply magic correction after you take a photo or a default setting of effects, so that after the picture is taken, it applies the effects automatically, and I can adjust from there.Lastly, as a guy, I appreciate that Lensa has a gender-neutral app icon, without any cheesy flowery pink camera icon or anything like that. The only downside to this app is the cost, as it requires a subscription. However, for me, the app is good enough that it's worth the price. Granted, it may be expensive for many people, but an app of this caliber requires good programming, and these developers need to eat too.

I've been a user of this app for around 2 years and have loved it, but recently I've experienced some issues. After some updates, not all of the backgrounds worked properly. They either went on top of my picture or didn't work at all. Although they seem to be working now, I've gotten used to switching to another app for my background. Lately, the app has been closing while I'm editing photos, which is very frustrating. Even after shutting down my IP 8, the app still closes periodically. Additionally, the app sometimes locks the screen when saving a picture, not just the app screen but my entire phone screen. One day, it took me around 30 minutes to be able to shut my phone down because I couldn't get off the saving screen that wasn't working. I decided to delete the app and reinstall it. After a few weeks, it locked the screen again while saving a picture. However, this time I was able to get out and saw that there was an update available, which I installed. Unfortunately, the app still closes on its own. Despite these few glitches, I still love the app and continue to use it. I just wanted to let the creator know about the problems I've met.
